American Revolution Center releases first national survey on knowledge of the American Revolution
The American Revolution Center today released the first national survey assessing knowledge of the American Revolution. The report revealed that Americans highly value, but vastly overrate, their knowledge of the Revolutionary period and its significance. Results revealed that 90 percent of American adults think that knowledge of the American Revolution and its principles is very important and should be taught in schools, however, 83 percent failed when tested on knowledge of the Revolution and our Founding documents.
