Design tricks and spy tactics: More is more in this after-dark celebration of costumes and finery, trickery and deception during the Revolutionary War.

Join Professor Jay Duckworth, Props Designer at The Public Theater / Shakespeare in the Park NYC for a discussion about the challenges he and his props team took on to create a new country in the New World for Hamilton: An American Musical when it premiered at The Public Theater in 2015.

From Rochambeau’s hand-drawn war maps and hand-carved colonial candlesticks using a drill press, to a live flame on stage in the song “Burn.” Making History will have you looking at everything you touch in a wonderful new way. Following the talk, Professor Duckworth will lead the audience in making wax seals to take home.

Happy Hour in the Cross Keys cafe will feature drink specials.
